pucca has been my favorite media franchise back then. the cutest n most romantic animation ever !! :D

Pucca (뿌까) is an 11-year-old girl that belonged to the Chinese noodle house owners. she is in love with the ninja, Garu (가루). however, he desperately avoids her. while Garu is a skilled ninja, Pucca always seems to beat him in combat simply by sheer wit.

located at 7th mile (Kuching), this Sarawak Laksa somehow .. depends very much on the cook's mood. sometimes muddy enough (but mostly not), sometimes spicy enough (again, mostly not). so .. let's just say that it is somewhere "just average" .. *shrug*

received the FF (Forever Friends) Award from -juliana-. such a lovely bear !! thanks juliana .. :)

movie: cloverfield..

the film was .. one hell of an experience. *inhale* it felt like cheap filmography. i, who never once puke in plane or ship, was actually having nausea while leaving the cinema. thank god i didn't take my dinner prior the movie ..

the director's intention was probably to get its viewers "involved" in the fleeing-from-monster act (which i doubt the actors felt as sicked as we do). but the "shaking-camera-for-one-n-a-half-hour" is just to much to take, way too uncomfortable, even for me ..

the plot was quite simple - huge monster attack New York city, told from the point of view of a small group of people. it document their attempt to survive the surreal n horrifying event of their lives, with the camcorder leftover as evidence.

korean da-om bbq house..

located at Jalan Song (Kuching), this Korean restaurant have some of the cool dishes, even steamboat - Korean style.

i rarely tried Korean food (yes, i know that i'm much more biased towards Japanese food .. :p), therefore the food seemed kinda strange to me. such as "rice inside chicken soup", which makes it neither rice nor porridge. but its taste can be considered nice .. :)

movie: gabriel..

the movie was absolutely Beautiful in a gothic way !! i was surprised when the girl in front of my kept yelling "sucks, sucks, sucks" while walking out of the cinema. what a pity it is that she missed the beauty of it all !!

i admit it was a little disappointing to find angels fighting with guns n fists instead of supernatural powers. but it doesn't reduce the Fun n "wow" experienced in the movie. the contact lenses, for once, are put to great use. they all have shimmering n mesmerizing eyes, let it be cool-blue or raging-red !! *excited* :D

the film involves the battle between the "Arc" angels against the "Fallen" angels. at present, the city is rule by darkness (the Fallen angels). Gabriel, the last of the 7 Arc angels (Gabriel, Uriel, Raphael, Michael, Amitiel, Remiel, Ithuriel) are sent to return light to the city. consume human form for the first time, he faced the darkness of a human soul, which feelings and emotions are taking control ..

located at 5th mile (Kuching), this somehow hidden shop has one of the popular Sarawak Laksa. the taste was awesome, the muddiness is just perfect !! but .. not enough spicy .. guess nothing is perfect after all. :p

Heath Ledger (1979-2008) - the talented actor that casted The Patriot n Brokeback Mountain was found dead in his Manhattan apartment, at 3:35pm, January 22nd, 2008.

the current reason given is either "suicidal" or "drug overdose". ain't sure what to expect, as i rarely track down celebrities' personal life, only focusing on their movies n actings. he was such a Great actor to begin with !! sad indeed .. *grieving*

his last cast turned out to be the Joker in a Batman's movie - The Dark Knight (July 2008) - his very first villain cast. must catch it .. must, must catch it .. *sniff sniff*

chef at home..

located near Hui Sing (Kuching), Chef at Home offers varieties of western food. it is setup at a house, with roofs extensions, so pretty much offers a homey-feeling.

the food ain't bad at all, the soup-in-bread was one of a kind, making the crunchy bread very yummy. the meat was nicely grilled, topped with delicious sauces (black pepper/mushroom). the pasta however, was too buttery to my preference. i prefer cheesy than buttery, which caused the pasta to taste like milk powder .. *shivers*

anime: mahoraba (まほらば) ~ heartful days..

a heart warming n funny series. my favorite character is Sayoko Kurosaki (黒崎沙夜子), an irresponsible yet loving mother of Asami Kurosaki (黒崎朝美). her constantly blur personality makes her very, very adorable !! :D

Shiratori Ryuushi (白鳥隆士) is a young artist-in-training. arriving at his new lodgings, Narutakisou (鳴滝荘), he meets the other residents, each with their own characteristic n story. he fell for the lovely landlady, Aoba Kozue (蒼葉梢). however, Kozue is not what she seems to be... in fact, she's has multiple personalities.

美美美食中心 (mei mei food centre)..

located at Chonglin park (Kuching), Mei Mei Food Centre is our average coffee shop (kopitiam). the Sarawak Laksa there was quite nice, a little unfair if consider it to be "just average". though not pure (muddy), but spicy enough.

being a Sarawak Laksa fan, i will be starting to post those that i'd tried .. :)

the spring..

the ♥ formed by "S" n "p" is brilliant !! ;)

the Spring's opening was on the 10th January 2008. i went on the night after its opening ceremony on the 9th, but they closed early .. d'oh .. it is huge indeed !! especially if compared to Kuching's available malls, with lotsa branded retails. it is a start, finally .. ;)

either because the turtle loves rain or because it knows i'm snapping photographs, it managed to keep its head up for at least 3 minutes !! took multiple shots of it during the trip to Zoo Negara.

located at Cheras, Old Town was crowded with people, one of the famous nighttime hang-about. ordered a thick garlic toast along with the rice n mee, which in overall, i would considered average food.

the elegant swan .. :)

the birds at Zoo Negara has all the same attitude, as in "not avoiding human beings", therefore makes it easier to take photographs of them, even at the closer distance. perfect !! :)

the snakes are the far most active creatures i've seen during the trip to Zoo Negara. n they do pose .. beautifully !! elegant indeed .. ;)

taken a trip to the Zoo Negara, located in Ulu Klang, with the entrance fee of RM15/person. the animals got drowsy because of the rainy weather, most of them were found asleep or lazed around .. *grunt*

movie: the game plan..

a simply wonderful n Magical movie, as expected from Disney .. :)

i am, indeed, bias towards The Rock, if you're wondering. had been a fan of his since high school (who weren't ?? :p) 's WWF, then WWE, the Mummy, the Scorpion King .. his smile, which he rarely shows, are as charming as it can gets !! his helplessness with the kid was simply adorable. aw .. *hugs*

the film is a huge recommendation even if you're not a fan of The Rock. it is heart-touching, warming, cozy n funny. its about family n love .. :)
